Disturbances in the visual pathway, called aberrations, can originate from multiple sources. Hyperopia and myopia are lower order aberrations with which all practitioners are familiar. These aberrations occur with predictability and regularity. Aberrations can also be a result of the contact lens itself. Putting a spherical contact lens on a non-spherical cornea induces aberrations as does lens flexure.
Optometric scientists analyzed vision and aberration patterns of patients across different power ranges, providing us the data needed to develop the ideal aspheric curvature for each lens power and thickness while compensating for aberrations caused by lens flexure. The result? A molded lens unlike any other on the market today.
For you, the patient, this means better night vision and contrast sensitivity masking of up to one diopter of astigmatism, superb comfort and easy handling.
